Shtrishakti Agro is based in Omerga, over in Osmanabad district. You can find us through Udaysing Panditrao More’s place right in town. We started this company because we wanted to do something useful for the farmers around here. Osmanabad is the kind of place where you have to be really tough to make a living from the land. The weather is rarely on our side. We chose the name because we wanted to work together as a single unit. We spend our days out looking at the crops and our evenings talking about the best way to sell them. We do not have any polished presentations or marketing experts telling us what to do. We just have our own experience from years on the ground. Most of us have been farming since we were just kids. We know this land and we know the problems that come with it. Sometimes we have meetings where everyone is talking at once, trying to figure out the next step. It is a bit chaotic, but it is real life. We deal with everything from seeds to fertilizers and trying to find buyers who will give us a decent price. The office is just a room with some chairs for our files. It isn’t anything special to look at, but it is where we make all our decisions. We are just trying to make life a little more stable for the people in Omerga.
