Ho.No. 72 in Wagholi is the main spot for Shri Rupabhavani Farmer Producer Company Limited. This is in the Kalamb taluka. We named it after the local deity because that’s what felt right. The office is just a small room in a house. It isn't very big, and it gets quite cramped when more than three or four people are inside. We have a couple of wooden cupboards for the files and a desk that has seen better days. Wagholi is a quiet village, so not much happens here except for the farming. We mostly grow what the weather allows. Sometimes it’s good, and sometimes the whole season is a waste. We started the company to try and help each other out with the selling part. Selling as a group is supposed to be better, but it is also a lot more work to organize. We spend hours trying to get everyone to sign the right papers. Some of the older farmers don't really trust the company idea yet, so we have to explain it over and over. We don’t have a fancy way of speaking. We just tell it like it is. It’s about surviving and maybe making a little bit of a profit if we are lucky. The roads around Kalamb are not great, so getting things to the market is always a headache. We just do what we can with what we have.
