Shri Balambika Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at number 110 in Balamtakali. That is in the Shevgaon taluka. We are just a group of people from the village who realized that we could do more if we stood together instead of fighting the market alone. We aren't businessmen in suits and ties. We are farmers who wear dusty clothes and spend our time worrying about the pests and the lack of rain. We set up this company at house 110 because it was a central spot for everyone to reach. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just want to make sure that when we grow something, we can actually make a living from it. Some years are great and we feel like we are finally getting ahead, and other years are a real struggle just to break even. But that is the life we chose for ourselves. We handle the collection of crops and try to find the best places to sell them to get a good price. It is a lot of coordination and phone calls to people we’ve known our whole lives. We are just trying to keep the village economy moving so the next generation has something to work with. It's just plain, honest work and we don't try to make it sound fancy.
