Sagar Gaikwad Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Mundwadi, which is in the Kannad taluka. Our base is at the house of Shri Shivaji Shekhanath Gaikwad. We aren't a big operation with many branches; we are just here in Mundwadi doing our thing. The company was named after the family and it represents the group of farmers we have gathered here. Shivaji Gaikwad’s place is where everything happens. It’s a typical house in the village where we sit on the porch or in the main room to talk about our farming plans. Kannad is a place where agriculture is the main way of life, so it made sense for us to join together. We don't have any polished presentations or a dedicated sales team. Most of our time is spent out on the land, and the company is just a way to handle the selling and buying more effectively. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, especially when the prices are low or the rain doesn't come on time, but having a collective makes it a little easier to bear. We are just local farmers who know each other well. There's no corporate hierarchy here, just neighbors working together to try and get a better deal for our produce. It’s a plain, straightforward way of running things that suits our lifestyle in Mundwadi perfectly. We keep things simple because that's what works for us.
