Kailas has been around here forever, and his spot is where we all end up meeting to talk shop. Jalna gets pretty dry, and we spend a lot of time worrying about the water and the heat. It’s not an easy life, but it’s what we know. We started this group because it felt like we were all struggling on our own, and it made more sense to put our heads together. We don't have a big staff or fancy computers. Most of our notes are kept in simple ledgers or just remembered. We meet up, have some tea, and figure out who is growing what and where it’s going to go once it’s picked. The village of Borgaon is a small place, so everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We just wanted to make it official so we could handle the paperwork better. There’s a lot of back and forth with the markets, and sometimes it feels like we spend more time talking than farming, but that’s just how it goes these days. We’re just local guys from Tq Jalna trying to keep the farms running without too much trouble. It’s honest work, and we just take it as it comes. We aren't flashy people, just folks who know the land and the local weather.
