Prakarshanand Agro Producer Companylimited is right here in Shiradhon. That’s in the Kallam Taluka of Osmanabaad district. It’s a dry area mostly, so we have to be smart about how we handle the agro business. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the name of the company so people know where to come. The village of Shiradhon is where most of us grew up. We know the soil and we know the people. This company was formed to bring us together. It’s not a corporate headquarters like you’d see in Mumbai. It’s just a room where we meet and talk about business. Sometimes the meetings go long because everyone has an opinion. We don't mind. It’s better to talk things through. We deal with the crops and the logistics of getting them where they need to go. There’s a lot of paperwork with the government and the banks, and none of us really likes doing it, but it’s part of the job. We keep things as organized as we can. Osmanabaad is a place with a lot of history, and we are just trying to add our little piece to it. We don't have any missions or visions, just the daily task of making sure the agro work gets done. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the seasons. It's just a bunch of locals trying to do right by the farm. It takes time but we aren't in a rush.
