Peakland Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of a small spot in Dhoki, Osmanabad. To find us, you have got to head to Ramchandra Venkatesh Joshi’s place. It is a local operation, nothing like those big corporate offices you see in the city. Most of us here have spent our whole lives dealing with the soil in this part of Maharashtra. We decided to get together because doing things as a group just seemed more practical than trying to manage everything alone. It is pretty quiet in this part of Osmanabad-413501, and our days are usually filled with talk about crop cycles and what the rain is going to do. The office isn't much to look at, just a functional space where we keep our papers and meet up after being out in the fields. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment or a marketing team telling us what to say. It is just us, working with what we have. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is not helping, but that is just how farming goes. We are not trying to change the world, just trying to make a decent living and keep the farm work going in a way that makes sense for the families around Dhoki. If you ever stop by, you will probably find someone drinking tea and looking over some ledgers or discussing seed prices. It is honest work and we keep it that way.
