Nisarga Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Nisarga Mahila is a group of women here in the Shenva area. We are located at Sar.No 302/222 near Shenvanaka. It’s a local effort. We started this because we wanted to have a collective for the women who are out in the fields every day. Farming isn't just for the men, and we wanted a place that belonged to us. The name Nisarga means nature, and that's what we focus on. Our office is a simple spot where we meet up to discuss what we are growing and how to manage the harvest. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road but everyone knows where Shenvanaka is. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to each other and our neighbors. Sometimes we share seeds or talk about how to get a better price for our vegetables. It's a lot of coordination. Being a producer company helps us deal with the bigger markets that we couldn't reach alone. We are still learning a lot about the business side of things. It’s not always easy balancing the farm work with the paperwork. But we are a strong group and we help each other out when things get busy. It’s a practical way to make life a little better for the families in Shenva. We don't need fancy offices to get our work done together. It's about real community support.
