Matrewadi Farmers Producer Company Limited

Matrewadi is a small place in Bhoom taluka. Not many people from the outside know where it is, but for us, it is home. We started Matrewadi Farmers Producer Company Limited right here at S.N.159. It is basically just a group of us from the village who got tired of dealing with middlemen all the time. We grow our crops, and now we try to manage the business side of things too. It is a lot of learning as we go, and we make mistakes sometimes. None of us are businessmen by trade, just farmers who know how to handle a plow and manage the water. The company is our way of staying together as a community. We meet at the post office area or near the fields to talk about what we need to buy for the next season. It is mostly grain and some vegetables, whatever the weather in Bhoom allows us to pull from the dirt. We do not have a big staff or a fancy office. It is just us and our families helping out when things get busy during the harvest. Sometimes the paperwork is a bit too much for us, but we manage to get it done. If you ever find yourself in Matrevaditaluka, you can find us easily. Just ask for the farmer's group. We are usually out in the fields anyway, but someone will be at the main spot at S.N.159.
