Mallberry Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Girawali in the Bhoom area of Osmanabad. Ramhari Govind Mote is the one who helps keep the Mallberry Farmer Producer Company running from his place. It’s a quiet village, and most of us have been farming here since we were kids. We set this company up because it felt like the right time to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing. It's a lot of work coordinating between all the different farms, but we manage. We aren't experts at the business side of things, but we know our soil and our crops. The office is really just a room in the house where we keep the ledgers. You'll often find a few of us sitting outside talking about the rain or the price of diesel. It’s a slow pace of life in Girawali, but the work is hard. We don’t have any fancy equipment or big trucks, just what we’ve always used. The company is just a way for us to have a bit more say in how our produce is sold. We try to help each other out with seeds and advice when someone is having a bad season. It’s a local thing, through and through. Everyone knows Ramhari, so his place was the natural choice for our headquarters. We just want to keep the village farming tradition alive and well. It's how we were raised and how we want to keep going.
