Krushivaibhav Shetkari Producer Company Limited

Our company is located in Kherda, which is in the Kallam taluka. We use Ganesh Mahadeo Lokare’s house, number 75, as our main base. It’s a group of us farmers—shetkari, as we say—who wanted to find a way to make our work a bit more sustainable. Farming in this part of the country isn't for the faint of heart. We deal with the heat and the dry spells all year round. We named it Krushivaibhav because to us there is dignity and value in the land, even when things are tough. We don’t have a big fancy building or a lot of employees. It’s just us, the people who actually plow the fields and sow the seeds. When we meet, we’re usually talking about how to get a better yield or where to find reliable water sources. It’s very practical stuff. We started this because we were tired of being the last ones to get paid after all the hard work. By working as a producer company, we can buy things in bulk and hopefully save a bit of money for everyone. It’s not a perfect system, and we’re still learning how to handle all the legal side of things, but it’s a start. We’re just local guys from Kherda who care about our land and our neighbors.
