Gaulkhed Farmer Producer Company Limited operates out of a space at C/O Vikas Vijayrao Deshmukh 503, Pankaj, in Akot. It is more of a home base for us than a corporate office. We are all farmers from the surrounding area. We figured out that working as a group was easier than being alone. Akot is a busy place, and being based here helps us stay connected to what is happening in the local trade. We spend our days dealing with the realities of the agricultural life. It is not always easy, and there are many long hours involved. We meet up at the Pankaj building to discuss which crops are doing well and how we can get a better handle on the logistics of moving our produce. There is no big marketing budget or flashy logos here. We are just focused on the practical side of things. Most of us have known each other for years, so there is a lot of trust involved in how we run things. Sometimes we sit around and just talk about the weather, because that is what really runs our lives anyway. We have seen good years and lean ones, and we just keep pushing forward together. If you are looking for us, that is where we will be, just working through the daily tasks that keep a farm producer group going. It is simple work, but it is ours. We do not need anything more than a solid place to meet and a plan for the next season.
