Our place is at House Number 13 in Naichakur, which is part of the Omarga area in Osmanabad. We are the Dhawalkranti Dairies Research Foundation. It sounds like a big title, but I guess we are just a small group working out of a local house in Maharashtra. Most of our days are spent looking into how dairy farming works around here. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a room with some desks where we try to figure out better ways for people to manage their cows and milk. The weather in Osmanabad can be quite something, especially in the summer, so we usually get started early. People from the village come by to ask questions about their cattle. We aren't trying to sell anyone anything. We just do the research part because that’s what is needed. It is a bit of a slow process sometimes. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just write down what we find and talk to the farmers. It's honest work. Not much more to it than that, really. We just keep at it every day.
