Veg Point

Down in Sector 31 1, there is a small place we call Veg Point. It’s where we do all our vegetable prep and cooking. We don’t use any meat here, so it’s all about the greens and the pulses. Sector 31 is a quiet enough area, but we still get a lot of people stopping by during lunch hours. We started this because we wanted a place that just stayed simple. The kitchen isn't huge, but it fits what we need. We spend our mornings chopping onions and peeling potatoes, which takes up a lot of time. Sometimes the knife gets dull and we have to sharpen it right in the middle of everything. It’s just how things go. We keep an eye on the clock to make sure things are ready when the office workers start coming out. Veg Point is just a basic name for a basic place. We aren’t trying to be the most popular spot on the block, just a reliable one. There are days when it’s raining and nobody comes, and then there are days when we can’t keep up with the pots. We just take it as it comes. The address in Sector 31 1 is easy to remember once you’ve been here once. We mostly just keep our heads down and worry about whether the rice is fluffy enough or if the salt is right. It is a lot of repetitive work but we are used to it.
