Alka Foods Pvt. Ltd. has its setup at 26, SSI in Laghu Udyog Nagar. This is right off the G.T Karnal Road, which is one of the biggest roads around here. Because of the location, there are always massive trucks passing by and it gets very dusty. We are in an industrial patch where everyone is making something or the other. Our unit focuses on food, so we have to try and keep things as clean as we can in such a busy area. The building is a typical factory shed where we have our machinery and a small corner for the office work. We have been here for a good amount of time and we know most of our neighbors in the other units. The work is mostly routine, starting early and finishing late. We don't have any big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find us because they know we are here on the G.T Karnal Road. The noise from the road never really stops, but you get used to it after a few weeks. Our staff is a mix of people who have been with us for years. We just spend our days monitoring the food production and making sure the bags are sealed and ready for the loaders. It’s a lot of manual effort and staying on your feet for most of the shift. We just get on with it.
