Suraj Art Palace

We are up on the first floor of the Kartar Singh Building at Plot No. 222. Being in Mangol Pur Kalan means we are close to the Mother Dairy in Sec-2, Rohini, which is how most people find us. Suraj Art Palace is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re inside, there’s a lot to see. The building is a typical Rohini structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have rooms filled with various art pieces and decorative things. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes because we keep getting new stock and don't always have a place to put it right away. The windows look out over the street, and we can see the neighborhood kids playing or people going to get their milk from the dairy. It’s a bit quieter than being right on a main highway, but we still get our fair share of noise from the street vendors. We don't have any big sales pitches. Usually, we just let people walk around and look at things at their own pace while we sit at the desk near the door. The floor is made of old stone, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. It’s a local spot where we just go about our business day after day, making sure the items are kept safe and the shop stays open for whoever drops by.
