Subhlaxmi Plastic Industries

Subhlaxmi Plastic Industries is situated at 64 in the Badli Industrial Area, Phase-II. It is a pretty standard factory setup where we spend most of our time around the molding machines. The air usually smells like warm plastic, and it gets quite hot in the afternoons especially during the summer months. We make all sorts of small plastic parts that people probably don't think about much but use every day in their houses. I’ve been working here for a long time, and I’ve seen the area change as more units opened up around us. We aren't a big name, just a small operation trying to keep the machines running and the orders filled. Sometimes the plastic pellets don't melt right or a mold gets stuck, and we have to spend hours cleaning it out by hand. It is messy work and our clothes usually have bits of plastic stuck to them by the end of the shift. We have a small office upstairs where we keep the books and take calls, but I prefer being down on the floor where the action is. The neighbors are mostly into garments or metal work, so we all help each other out if someone needs a tool or a spare hand. We don't have a big mission or a bunch of slogans. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. It’s a simple way to make a living and it has served us well over the years.
