Smart Rasoi

Smart Rasoi is located at E 2/229 on the Main Road in Shastri Nagar (N). Being right near the metro station means we get a constant stream of people passing by our shop in Delhi. It’s a very fast-paced environment. We call it a "Rasoi" because that’s exactly what it is—a kitchen where we make food for the local people. The 110052 area is always loud and crowded, and we’re right in the middle of it. We don't have a big fancy storefront. It’s a practical space where we focus on the cooking. The metro station is just a short walk away, so we see a lot of commuters who are in a hurry. We spend our days over the stove, making sure everything is ready for the next person who walks in. The air in Shastri Nagar is often thick with dust and exhaust, so we’re always wiping down the counters. We aren't a corporate chain with a mission statement. We’re just a small business trying to make a living. Some days the heat in the kitchen is almost too much to handle, but we just keep going. We’ve been on the Main Road for a while and we’ve become part of the daily routine for some of the folks who live nearby. It’s just honest work in a busy city. We open up, we cook, and we close down at night. That’s our life here at Smart Rasoi.
