Madras cafe

Madras cafe is located at Shop Number 4, 265, in the Outram Lines area of Kingsway Camp. We are just a short walk from the GTB Nagar Metro Station. Because of the location, we get a lot of students from the nearby colleges who are always in a hurry. Delhi is a fast city, and this neighborhood is particularly busy with young people rushing to classes or the metro station at all hours. Our shop is quite small, so it feels very full even when there are only a few people inside sitting down. We don't have a big staff or a corporate structure. It is just a couple of us managing everything from the kitchen to the front counter. The furniture is basic and the lighting is just what we could afford when we first started the business. We didn't hire a designer or anyone like that to make it look fancy. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you have to shout a bit to be heard over the horns. We don't have any promotional slogans or mission statements. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the students to start arriving. It’s a nice enough spot for someone who just wants to sit down for a few minutes away from the street. We try to keep the prices low because we know how it is to be a student in a big city. It is just a regular local business. Most of our regulars are people who live in the hostels nearby and stop by every single day.
