Out here on Narela Main Bawana Road, things are a bit more spread out. Shivam Garden is basically a large open plot that we use for various gatherings. I spend most of my time walking around the perimeter checking the fences and making sure the ground is level. Being in the 110040 area, we get a lot of dust from the main road, so it’s a constant battle to keep the place looking decent. We have a small office near the gate where I sit and wait for people to come by and ask about the space. It’s mostly just grass and some basic structures to provide shade. There’s a lot of maintenance involved, like watering the plants and fixing the lights after a storm. I don't have a big team; it’s mostly just me and a gardener who comes twice a week. When there’s an event, the place looks completely different with all the people and noise, but most days it’s just quiet. You can hear the trucks rumbling by on Bawana Road all day long. I like it better when it’s quiet and I can just sit and plan what needs to be fixed next. It’s not a fancy resort or anything like that. It’s just a patch of land that we look after so people have a place to meet up. It’s been here for quite some time now and we just keep it going.
