I stay and work out of Prem Nagar 2 in Kirari Nangloi, specifically in N Block at house number 115. It is a very busy residential area in New Delhi. The streets are quite narrow and there are always children playing outside or someone moving a wooden cart past the door. My place is just a regular house where I have set up a small area for my daily work. It is nothing like those big glass offices you see in the center of the city. Here, everything feels much more grounded and real. You hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long—pressure cookers whistling from kitchens and people calling out to each other. I have lived in this part of Nangloi for a long time. House 115 is where I feel most comfortable. I do not have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room with magazines. If you come by to see me, you just knock on the front door. I might be busy with something, but I will usually come out in a minute to talk. The walls are painted a simple off-white color, and I have a sturdy wooden table where I keep my laptop and all my papers. It is practical for my needs. I do not see the need for decorations that do not serve any real purpose. Sometimes the dust from the road is a bit much, but that is just Delhi life. I like being close to home.
