Ramavadh

We have been here at B-34 in Mangol Puri for a good while now. It is a busy spot, mostly loud with the traffic passing by all day. Our space isn't huge, just enough to get the daily tasks done without tripping over things. People around here know where to find us if they need something sorted out. Usually, we start the morning by rolling up the shutters and cleaning the dust off the front step. New Delhi gets quite dusty, so it is a never-ending job. We don't have fancy furniture or big signs. It is just a desk, a few chairs, and whatever tools we are using that week. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or work by the door where the light is better. Most of our day is spent talking to folks who walk in or making sure the paperwork is in order. It gets hot in the summers, so we keep a fan running constantly. It’s a simple setup. We don't try to look bigger than we are. Ramavadh is basically just us doing our thing in this corner of the city. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea or busy with a ledger. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. We know the other shopkeepers on the block pretty well. We have seen the area change over the years, but our building stays the same. The walls have a few cracks, but it doesn't bother us.
