Rakesh Kumar

My name is Rakesh Kumar and my place is in Mangol Puri. The address is L 542, Dda Flat. It says Orissa 110083 on the papers, though 110083 is actually a Delhi pin code, I just follow what’s on the official record. It’s a DDA flat, so it looks like most of the others in this block. I’ve lived here for a long time and started doing my work from here too. It’s a very local vibe. You can hear the neighbors and the street noise all day. I don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. Just a fan and a window. I do most of the work myself. Sometimes a friend helps out if there is too much to do. I don't use a lot of complicated machines. It’s mostly manual work and keeping records in a ledger. I grew up around here, so I know everyone on the street. People drop by for a chat and sometimes they bring work. It’s not a formal business where you need an appointment. If I’m home, I’m working. I don't have a big philosophy or a goal to be a millionaire. I just want to do good work and pay the bills. It’s a simple life in a crowded neighborhood. I like the familiarity of it. That’s who I am and that’s how I run things here. No fancy words, just me at my desk every day.
