Our place, Patni Computers Noida, is located right at G 241 in the Pitampura area of New Delhi. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here for a good while now. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and turning on the lights to see what work is piled up from the day before. It’s not some fancy glass building you’d see in a magazine. It’s just a regular shop where we look at computers and try to make them run a bit better than they did when they came in. The street outside G 241 can get pretty noisy during the lunch hour with all the traffic in New Delhi 110034. We have a few desks set up and there are usually cables running along the floor because someone is always testing a motherboard or a monitor. It’s a practical space. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. We just focus on the hardware in front of us. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the latest tech, but other days we are swamped with people bringing in laptops that won’t start. It’s just honest work. We know the neighbors around Pitampura pretty well by now. If you’re looking for the spot, just look for the sign near the corner. We’re usually there until the evening when things finally quiet down.
