Being based in Gulab Vihar Apartment in Sector 9 Rohini means we are right in the middle of a residential area. It is a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs of New Delhi, which we appreciate. Our unit is number 83, and it is pretty easy to find once you get past the main gate security. The rooms are filled with stacks of papers and books, as you might expect given what we do. We have a few long tables where we sit and go through everything. The lighting isn't the greatest, so we have a few extra lamps scattered around the desks. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep the energy up. In the afternoons, you can hear the kids playing outside in the apartment complex, which is a nice break from the silence of the office. We drink a lot of water because it gets so dry here. Sometimes visitors get lost looking for the specific block, so one of us usually has to go down and wave them in. It is an honest day's work for everyone here. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. Most of the people we work with already know where we are. We just try to stay organized and keep moving through the tasks we have scheduled for the week.
