Mom And Daughter Foods Private Limited is our little company over at Be-245 Avantika. The name pretty much tells you how we started. It’s a family thing, and we wanted to work together on something we actually cared about. We mostly do homemade style food products that you won’t find in the big commercial stores. Working from Avantika is nice because it is a residential area and it feels more personal. Our kitchen and packing area take up most of the space. It gets pretty busy, especially when we are trying to get a new batch of items ready for the weekend. We don't have a big staff, so it’s usually just us and maybe one or two helpers from the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy website or a PR person. We just rely on people trying what we make and then coming back for more. Sometimes we argue about how much spice to put in or how the labels should look, but that’s just how it goes when family works together. We try to keep things as natural as possible without any of the weird stuff you find in factory food. It’s hard work and our hands are always busy, but we like the independence it gives us. Most days we are just here at Be-245, making sure everything is clean and the food tastes right before it goes out the door. It’s a humble way to spend the day.
