People in Shalimar Bagh know where B Block is, and that’s where you’ll find our school building. It’s a familiar sight for the families living around here. We open the gates early every morning and the noise starts almost immediately. It’s the sound of buses pulling up and kids shouting to each other across the grounds. Inside, the walls have some old posters and student work taped up. It isn't some high-tech facility, just a regular school with solid walls and plenty of windows to let the light in. We spend our days going from one classroom to the next, making sure the kids are doing their work. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy in the heat, but we get through the lessons anyway. During the breaks, the courtyard is packed with people eating lunch or just running around. The staff handles the paperwork in the office near the entrance, which always seems to have a stack of files on the desk. We’ve seen a lot of different groups of students come through these doors over the years. Some of them grow up and move away, others stay in the neighborhood. It’s a local place through and through. Nothing fancy, just a school in B Block where we show up every day to do our jobs and help the kids learn what they need to know. It can get a bit hectic during exams, but we manage to keep things moving.
