Hindustan Dal Udyog

Our place, Hindustan Dal Udyog, is located at Plot No- C-36/3 on Lawrence Road in Delhi. We’re right near the State Bank ATM, which is where most people tell their drivers to stop. Being on Lawrence Road means we are in a very industrial part of the city. There is always the sound of trucks and heavy machinery in the background. We deal with different types of pulses and dals. The air inside the unit usually has a bit of dust from the grains, but that’s just part of the job. We have large machines for processing and bags of dal stacked all the way to the ceiling in some parts. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of inventory. We aren't a fancy office; we’re a working mill. Most of our day is spent making sure the quality is decent and the bags are weighed correctly. The floor is concrete and we’ve got big metal doors that stay open during the day. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three trucks show up at once to load up, but we manage. We’ve been operating out of this Delhi plot for quite a long time now. It’s a tough, repetitive job but it’s what we know. We don't bother with much else besides the pulses. If you’re looking for us, just look for the big bags and the ATM nearby. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
