Guru Nanak School

If you walk along Main Pitampura Road, you will find us on the second floor of building number 165. It is a busy part of Pitampura, Delhi 110034, so there is always something happening outside our windows. Up here on the second floor, things are a bit quieter than down on the street. We have different rooms for the classes and the kids are usually busy with their books and lessons. You can hear the teachers talking and the occasional sound of desks being moved around. The hallways are not very wide, but they get the job done when everyone is moving between rooms. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are not used to it, but once you are inside, it feels like a proper place for learning. We keep the walls decorated with some student work and charts. It is not some huge campus with fields, but we make the most of the space we have in this urban setting. The afternoon sun hits the front rooms pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn sometimes. It is just a regular school day for us, watching the children grow up and move on to the next grade. Most of the families living around Pitampura know where to find us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily teaching.
