Bhupender Parjapat

I am Bhupender Parjapat and I live and work in Village Pitampura. My house number is 90 and I’ve been in this part of New Delhi for a long time. It’s a bit different from the shiny malls you see in other parts of the city. Pitampura has a lot of history and the streets are always full of life. My work is pretty straightforward. I don’t try to make it sound more important than it is. I just help people with what they need. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, and the office gets a bit stuffy, but we manage. My family has been around here for years, so everyone knows us. We don’t have a big sign outside or a website that looks like it cost a lot of money. It’s just me and a small space to work. I spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in. People in the village know they can find me if they have a question. It’s not a 9-to-5 kind of job because someone is always knocking at odd hours. That’s just how it goes here. I like being my own boss. It means I can take a break when I want, but it also means I have to do everything myself. It’s a lot of responsibility but I wouldn't change it for a desk job in a big tower. The narrow lanes here can be a bit of a maze for outsiders, but once you find number 90, you’re in the right place. I usually keep some cold water in the fridge for anyone who stops by.
