In Mapusa, Goa, you can find our Siemens Information Systems Limited office in the Communidade Building. We are located in Flat No. A-3 on the first floor. Mapusa is a great town with a lot of history, and our office building is right in the heart of things. It is quite different from working in a big city office tower. The rooms are more like a home than a sterile workplace, which we actually prefer. We handle various information system tasks from here, so there is a lot of technical equipment and servers humming in the background. The Goan weather can be quite humid, so we keep the windows shut and the fans or air conditioning going most of the time. We don't have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. You just walk up the stairs and into the office where we are all working. Most of us live nearby, so we don't have to deal with long commutes. We often take our breaks at the small cafes around Mapusa where the food is local and fresh. It is a very steady and practical way of working. We focus on the data and the systems without any unnecessary complications. We don't have any promotional posters on the walls, just the calendars and maybe a few personal photos. It is an honest, straightforward place to work on technology. We just do our bit every day and then head home to our families.
