Rococco Ashvem

Rococco Ashvem is right on the sand at Ashvem Beach in Mandrem. If you keep walking down the beach towards Pernem, you can't miss us. It’s a simple setup right by the water, which means we’re constantly dealing with sand and salt air. It’s not a five-star luxury resort with marble floors; it’s more of a beach place where you can actually relax. We have some rooms and a place to eat, all looking out over the ocean. The wind can get pretty strong sometimes, and things might look a little weathered because of the sea, but that’s part of being this close to the waves. We don’t have a big corporate manual on how to talk to guests. We just greet people like they’re coming into our own home. Most of our days are spent making sure the umbrellas are up and the kitchen is ready for the lunch rush. It’s a lot of work keeping a place going on the beach, especially during the monsoon or when the tide is high. We like it here because it’s quiet compared to the busier parts of the coast. People come to us when they want to get away from the noise. We just provide a spot to sit and watch the sunset without any extra fuss. You might see us fixing a wooden railing or painting a wall to keep things looking decent, but we don't stress the small stuff. It's just life by the sea for us.
