We are based out in Baga Sauntavaddo, which is right in the Calangute area of Bardez. This part of Goa is always full of people, especially during the season when everyone wants to be near the water. Cavala Hotels Pvt. Ltd. has been around this neighborhood for a long time. It isn't like the big modern buildings you see elsewhere; it has more of an old-fashioned feel to it. The streets around here are narrow and can get quite dusty, but that’s just how Baga is. Our office is where we handle all the bookings and the daily stuff that keeps the place running. There is always something that needs fixing or a room that needs looking at. It gets loud with all the tourists and bikes outside, but we are used to the noise by now. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come from all over. Some days are incredibly hectic and other days we just sit and wait for the next lot of arrivals. The trees around the property give some shade, which is nice when it gets really hot in the afternoon. We have a small team here who have been working together for years. We don't use any fancy systems, just honest work and making sure everything is ready for whoever walks through the door. It’s a busy life living and working in Calangute, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure everything is clean.
