Paradise School

Our school is tucked away in the Canacona area of Bardez. Goa is a beautiful place to live, and we are lucky to have our school located in such a nice spot. It’s not a massive campus with shiny glass walls or expensive facilities. It’s more of a traditional building that fits in with the local houses and surroundings. We have students coming in from different parts of the district. Some are locals and some families moved here recently from other states. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, as you’d expect for this part of the world. We follow the standard school hours and teach the usual subjects like history, math, and geography. We have a small yard where the kids can kick a ball around or play catch during their break. The teachers are regular people who live nearby in the village. We don't have a lot of fancy programs or extra-curricular stuff that costs a lot of extra money. We just stick to the basics of a good education. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows or the fans aren't quite enough for the summer humidity, but we just get on with it. It’s a quiet life here in Canacona. We just want the kids to leave here at the end of the year with a bit more knowledge than they had when they arrived. We don't make big promises. We just open the doors every morning and do our best to teach what is in the books.
