If you head over toward the Mapusa Municipal Council, you’ll find us right across the way in the Citiscape Building. We’re up on the second floor in office As1. The stairs are fine, but the elevator is better if you’re carrying a lot of files like we usually are. My desk is usually covered in site maps and notes written on the backs of envelopes. Being a developer in this area means you spend a lot of time waiting for things to happen and then suddenly everything happens at once. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve seen the town change quite a bit from our window. It’s a busy part of Mapusa, so there’s always something going on outside. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or anything, just a kettle and some tea bags for when people come by to talk about land or new projects. We spend half our time out at the actual sites anyway, getting our boots dirty and making sure the walls are going up where they’re supposed to. It’s not always pretty work, and there are plenty of headaches with regulations and supplies. But we like seeing a project go from a sketch to an actual building people can walk into. We just try to be straightforward with folks. No big promises, just showing up and doing what needs doing. It’s a long day, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
