Intercontinental The Grand Resort Goa

We are located down at Raj Baga Beach, which is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main parts of Goa, but that’s why people like it. It is much quieter down here. The sand gets everywhere, so we are constantly mopping the floors and shaking out the rugs. The resort is spread out, so there is a lot of walking involved to get from the rooms to the water. We have a lot of palm trees and greenery that need watering every single day because the sun is very strong. Our team is mostly local folks who know the beach like the back of their hands. We don't have a lot of rules, we just ask people to be mindful of the plants. The sound of the ocean is always in the background, which is nice when you are working a long shift. We have a pool too, but most people prefer the sea since it’s right there. The building has seen a lot of sun and rain over the years, so we are always doing some kind of maintenance or painting. It’s a laid-back place to work. We don't do the whole polished corporate routine. If you need a towel or a drink, we just go get it for you. It’s a simple life by the beach and we like it that way.
