You can find us right by the beach in Ashvem, which is part of the Mandrem area in the Pernem side of Goa. The place is called Rococco, and it’s tucked away where the sand starts. It is a very different atmosphere compared to the busy towns in the south. Here, everything feels a bit slower and the air is always salty from the ocean. We spend most of our time keeping the place running, which isn't always easy with the humidity and the sea breeze. Things tend to wear out fast when you're this close to the water. The building has its own quirks and we are always fixing a leaky pipe or painting a wall. Our staff is mostly local people who know the area well. We don't have any big corporate rules; we just try to make sure everything is clean and ready. In the evenings, you can hear the waves clearly from the office. It’s a nice spot, even if it’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes. We deal with all sorts of visitors who come to enjoy the coast. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow because we are a bit far out, but that’s just life in Goa. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a beachside business doing its thing day after day in this corner of the state.
