Aldeia Santa Rita

Aldeia Santa Rita is situated in Candolim, which is a well-known part of Goa. Specifically, we are in the Dando area. If you follow the roads around Bardez, you’ll eventually hit our spot. It’s a bit of a walk from the main beach, but it's close enough that you can feel the sea breeze on most days. The place is designed like a small village, which is what the name suggests. We have various rooms and blocks spread out. It isn't a high-rise building; it’s more spread out and low-key. We spend a lot of our time looking after the gardens and making sure the pathways are clear. Goa gets very hot and humid, so there is always maintenance work to do around the property. Guests come here to get away from the noisier parts of the state. We have a pool and some common areas where people sit around. It’s a local business, and many of us who work here live just a short distance away. We don't try to be a five-star luxury resort with gold taps. It’s more about providing a comfortable room and a decent breakfast. The Dando area is a bit quieter than the heart of Candolim, which many people seem to appreciate. We just keep the place running, year after year, through the monsoon and the tourist season.
