Dilsahd Bag Wala

Out here in Old Mustafabad, things can get pretty crowded, especially around Gali No. 20. Our spot is at B - 170 in Mansingh Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t from around here, but we like it. Dilsahd Bag Wala has been operating out of this small space for some time. We’ve got sewing machines running most of the day. The sound of the needles is just part of the background noise now. We make bags of all sorts. Some are for groceries, some are for carrying heavier stuff, and others are just simple pouches. It gets dusty, and there are rolls of fabric stacked up in the corners. We aren't trying to be some big factory or anything like that. It’s just a few of us sitting down, cutting the cloth, and stitching it up. When people come by, they usually know what they want, and we tell them if we can do it or not. No point in making things complicated. The light in the workshop isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the electricity cuts out, and we just take a break outside until it comes back. That’s just life in this part of town. We keep the machines oiled and the scissors sharp. It's just simple bag making for the folks around the neighborhood and whoever else finds their way to Gali 20, day after day.
