We have been working with fabrics and cloth for a long time. The shop is full of rolls and stacks of material. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s part of the trade. We deal with all sorts of people who need cloth for different things. Some are making clothes, others might need it for their homes. We aren’t some big fashion house or anything. We just sell textiles. My family has been doing this kind of work, and we just keep it going. Shahdara is a crowded place, and we are right in the middle of it. You might find us cutting cloth or checking the stock most of the day. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Word of mouth is usually how people find us. We try to keep things simple. If we have the fabric you want, we tell you. If we don’t, maybe we can find it. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bundles and measuring things out. The floors are a bit uneven and the lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. It’s our life here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the shop stays mostly the same. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk in.
