Genpact

Over in Shahadra, at 4 373 on Street Number 13, things are always moving fast. Bholanath Nagar is a crowded place, and our office is right in the heart of that energy. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you don’t know the streets, but we’ve lived and worked around here long enough that it feels like second nature to us. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some sturdy desks, a few old computers that still work well enough, and a small kitchenette where we make tea. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a design magazine, but it’s practical for our needs at Genpact. We spend the day working through various tasks and chatting with each other about whatever is happening in the news or the neighborhood. The street outside is usually full of people, so there is always something to look at if you need a two-minute break from the screen. It gets quite dusty sometimes, especially when there is construction nearby, so we are always cleaning the windows to let the light in. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or expensive art. We just want to do our jobs and get things right for the people who hire us. It’s a local operation, run by people who know the area and just want to put in a good day's work before heading home to their families in the evening.
