Vtech Engineering Works

We’ve been here at D-27 in Sanjay Nagar for quite some time now. If you walk down R P Road in Adarsh Nagar, you’ll probably hear the machines before you see the sign. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Most days, the floor is covered in metal shavings and there’s always a bit of oil on someone’s hands. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and repairs that people bring in. Sometimes the shop gets crowded with materials waiting to be moved, and we have to shuffle things around just to find a wrench. It’s a bit noisy, especially in the afternoons when everyone is working at once, but that’s just how it goes here. Our neighbors are used to the sound by now. We started small with just a couple of tools and an old lathe, and slowly we added more stuff as we went along. There’s a tea stall at the corner where we usually take our breaks when the heat gets to be too much. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just a small desk in the corner where the bills are kept. People stop by to ask if we can fix this or that, and usually, we can. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, making sure the work is solid enough to hold up.
