Jan Engineering Works

You can find Jan Engineering Works right in the heart of Matia Mahal. We are at number 212 on Garahiyya Street, near Jama Masjid. It is a very old area and the streets are always crowded with people and food stalls. We have been working here for a long time. The shop is small, but we have all the tools we need. It gets loud because of the metal work, but the neighbors are used to it by now. Most people around here know us by name. We do various engineering jobs, mostly repairs and small parts that people bring in. It is not a clean job, our hands are usually black from the oil. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The building itself is quite old, like everything else in this part of Delhi. You have to walk carefully through the lane because of the rickshaws. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in with their problems and we see if we can fix them. Sometimes we can, sometimes it takes a bit more time. It is a simple life. We close up when the sun goes down or when the work is finished. My brother helps me out most days. We just focus on the task at hand. There is no need for big talk. Just come to Garahiyya Street and look for the number 212. We'll be there every day except for Friday afternoons when we go for prayers.
