You will find Vishal Kitchenware along Lawrence Road. This is a big industrial and commercial area, so there are always trucks loading and unloading nearby. Our place is basically a big room full of pots, pans, and other metal things for the kitchen. It is not a shiny retail store with fancy displays. Instead, we have shelves stacked high with goods, and sometimes we have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of our time packing orders and checking the quality of the items coming in. The floors are concrete and get pretty cold in the winter months. We usually have a small heater running near the desk to keep our feet warm. It is a simple operation with just a few of us running the whole thing. We handle everything from moving the boxes to talking to the delivery drivers who stop by. Lawrence Road can be a nightmare for traffic during the peak hours, so we try to get our big shipments out early in the morning. We have been here for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over time. Despite the changes, we just keep doing our thing, selling kitchenware to whoever needs it. It is a plain business, but it keeps us busy and we like it that way. No need for anything more than that.
