The Channers Enginggering Works

Out here on G.T. Karnal Road in the industrial area, things are always moving. Our plot is B-77, and it’s a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. The Channers Enginggering Works isn't a showroom. It’s a workshop with metal shavings on the ground and the sound of welding happening in the back. We have been here for a long time, working with lathes and heavy machinery. The sun hits the tin roof and it gets pretty warm in the summers. We drink a lot of water and keep the fans running. It’s mostly just the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of cutting oil. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing grease-stained clothes and looking at some blueprints or a broken part. We take things as they come. One day it’s a big repair job, the next day we are making small components for another factory down the road. It’s hard work on the back and the knees, but it’s what we know how to do. The industrial area can be a bit chaotic with the trucks blocking the lanes, but we managed to carve out our own corner here. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop, just the one that gets the job done right without a fuss. We close the gates at six and head home tired.
