There are rickshaws, people, and deliveries moving through the narrow streets all day long. Our office is in an old building that has seen better days, but it’s where we do all our planning and sorting. We deal with bioformulations, which involves a lot of technical details and keeping track of various batches. It’s not the most glamorous place to work, especially when it’s hot and the power goes out, but we make it work with what we have. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with the labs or the distributors. There is always a stack of invoices on the desk and someone is usually rushing out to meet a delivery driver who got lost in the alleys. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us trying to keep things organized in a very chaotic part of town. We eat our lunch at the small shops nearby and keep the business going one day at a time. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the files and samples, but it’s home for us.
