Down in the Wazirpur Industrial Area at C-57, things are usually pretty loud. That’s just the way it is when you’re around machines all day. At Sohal Engineers, we’ve got a small team that handles a lot of the metalwork and engineering tasks that come our way. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings, and there’s always the smell of oil in the air. We don’t spend much time making the office look pretty because that isn’t why we’re here. We’re here to fix things and build things. Some of the guys have been working these same machines for a decade, and they can tell if something is wrong just by the sound it makes. It’s a practical kind of place. We have our lunch together in the small break area, usually talking about something mundane like the weather or the traffic on the way in. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s solid and it keeps the rain off the equipment. We don't have a marketing team or anyone in a suit walking around. It is just us in our work clothes, getting our hands dirty and making sure the orders are ready when they need to be. It’s a simple routine, but it works for us. We show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s honest and it keeps us busy every single day without fail.
