A-22 in the Group Industrial Area of Wazirpur is where Shree Shakti Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. calls home. Being in an industrial area means it’s never really quiet. There is always the sound of a truck idling outside or the clank of metal from one of the neighboring units. Our building is a sturdy, no-nonsense structure that has been through many summers and monsoons. Inside, it’s mostly about the work. We don’t have fancy rugs or art on the walls. It’s just desks, some heavy machinery, and plenty of space for moving goods around. The air gets a bit thick in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. Most of us have been here for years, so we have a rhythm that doesn't need much explaining. We spend our time managing orders and making sure the production side of things is moving along. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of grease or dust on. Wazirpur is a tough, hardworking part of Delhi, and we fit right in. We focus on the daily tasks and don't spend much time on fancy talk or long meetings. When the whistle blows at the end of the day, we’re tired, but it’s a good kind of tired because we know we’ve put in a full day. The concrete floors are worn down, but they’ve held up well.
