Shivani Metals Ltd

Our place is at G T Karnal Road, right near Gate Number 3 in Rajasthani Udyog Nagar. We occupy units 61 and 62. It’s a fairly large space compared to some of the smaller shops in the city. Being Shivani Metals Ltd means we have a bit more room to move things around, but it still feels crowded once the trucks arrive. The yard out front is usually full of activity. We have guys loading and unloading all day long. The noise of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after a week. It becomes like background music. We have a small office section, but it’s mostly just for keeping the invoices straight. Most of us spend the day out where the actual work happens. The floors are stained with oil and there are metal shavings everywhere. We try to sweep up at the end of the shift, but by the next morning, it looks the same again. It’s a heavy industry environment. We don't have any polished floors or fancy meeting rooms. People come here to get their metal and that’s about it. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and it gets quite warm inside. We just drink a lot of water and keep going until the sun goes down.
