Satija Engineering Works

You can find Satija Engineering Works on the second floor of Ajmer Phool Bhawan. It’s at shop number 14. We are right by Ajmeri Gate, which is quite close to the New Delhi Railway Station. The area is always packed with people coming and going from the trains. It’s a real headache trying to find parking around here, so most folks just walk or take a rickshaw. To get to us, you have to go up the stairs which are a bit narrow and steep. The building is old and has that specific smell of dust and engine oil. We do a lot of small engineering jobs here. It’s a cramped space with tools everywhere. We try to keep things organized but when you’re busy, stuff just piles up on the workbenches. The noise from the station reaches us even up on the second floor. Sometimes the trains whistle and it drowns out our conversation. We’ve been here for a good while and know the other shop owners in the building well. We usually eat our lunch right at the desk while checking orders. It’s a simple setup. Nothing special to look at, just a place where work gets done. We handle whatever comes through the door as long as we have the right tools for it. It keeps us moving.
